  • Heather’s Story Just Keeps Getting Better and Better!

Book Cover off of Amazon Website

In Size 14 is Not Fat Either by Meg Cabot, Heather is back at it, except she has gained a few more pounds! She is still working as an assistant dorm director at New York College when another death makes people refer to her dorm as Death Dorm.

Though she tries to stay out of it, when a popular cheerleader’s head is found in the kitchen of the dormitory, it is hard when nobody can really figure out where the rest of the body is (or who did it). So, Heather starts snooping, as only she can do.

It also helps her deal with her life. Her ex-con father shows up on her doorstep. Her ex-fiance won’t stop calling her, even though he is about to marry someone else. Plus, she can’t really deal with the feelings that she has for her roommate.

However, Heather has to be careful, or she might be next in the line of murders in the building!

Another great read by Cabot. I can’t wait to finish the series and see what Heather gets up to next!

Book Cover off of Amazon Website

I loved the first book in the series, and I was happy to review it for you. If you haven’t had a chance to read it, you can check it out right here.

In P.S. I Still Love You by Jenny Han, Peter and Lara Jean start pretending to date. They never realized that their feelings would grow.

When another boy from Lara’s past shows up in her life, she is torn between two boys that she had liked at some point. Will her feelings come back for this boy? It makes her wonder if she can like and love two boys at once. Can she really choose between them?

I highly recommend the second book. I am partway through the third book, so I am making plans to watch the movies! Readers will enjoy this easy and enjoyable read!

  • I Had to Read the Book BEFORE I Watched the Netflix Movie

Book Cover off of the Amazon Website

I have never watched To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before on Netflix. I wanted to read the book first, so when it went on sale, I jumped for it.

The premise of To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before by Jenny Han is pretty good. What if all the crushes you ever had found out how you felt? What if it happened all at once?

Sixteen-year-old Lara Jean Song has written many love letters, which she kept hidden in a hatbox that her mother gave to her. She writes from the heart, because nobody was ever supposed to read them. Until they get sent out!

Suddenly, Lara Jean has many boys talking to her, some that she hasn’t seen for years! And she has no idea what to do about it. Even worse, one was seriously dating her older sister.

Will Lara Jean start dating now that her crushes know about her? Or will she continue to live her quiet life at home with her dad and younger sister?

I can’t wait to finish all of the books in the series and then watch all the movies on Netflix!

In Size 12 is Not Fat by Meg Cabot, we meet Heather Wells, whose life has changed majorly. She was a famous pop idol with a famous boyfriend. She lost her recording contract, her boyfriend, and her money (when her mother ran away with it).

So, what is a girl to do? She gained a few dress sizes, found a place to stay, and a new job, even though it is not glamorous at all! She becomes an assistant dorm director at one of New York’s top colleges, which, once she is done with her probation period, will help her with a college degree.

However, what should be a good job turns into a nightmare when a dead body is discovered at the bottom of an elevator shaft. Elevator surfing is a strange hobby for college students, but Heather just knows that the dead girl is not one who would ever elevator surf. That is just not something that girls do. • Short Story Collection by One of My Favorite Authors

Book Cover off of Amazon Website

Jennifer Weiner’s books are always wonderful to read, so when one of her collections of short stories went on sale, I jumped at the chance to read it!

The Guy Not Taken is a great collection of eleven stories that are all about all types of things, including growing pains, divorce, and even a widow who takes two young women into her home.

One story follows a new mom, Marlie Davidow, as she finds her ex’s wedding registry. This makes her wonder if she chose the wrong guy. One story is about Good in Bed’s Bruce Guberman, who drunkenly decides to steal his girlfriend’s dog. One story is about a woman who sells her apartment to help a realtor whose attention she is trying to get. There is also a sweet story about unlikely friends!

If you are looking for a quick read that will bring a smile to your face, look no further than Weiner’s collection.

  • Who Really Works on Cruise Ships?

Book Cover off of Amazon Website

Working on a luxury super yacht is a great way to earn a living, while also giving you a home (if you don’t have one)! In The Crew by J.M. Hewitt, Ella loves leaving her past behind, especially since she has found a great “family” each year she returns. The crew of the Ananke is her family.

However, as she returns to work a year after a tragedy the previous summer, she isn’t so sure anymore. One of the deckhands died in a senseless accident. It was Ashley’s first year, and everyone loved her. She was a hard worker and would do anything to ensure the ship ran smoothly!

But everything that Ashley told them was a lie. And if nobody knows you, can they get away with murder?

As the crew gets ready to set sail again, nobody is really sure about what happened last summer.

I never thought that I would love thrillers the way that I do. I really enjoy a good book that I can’t put down. I am going to add more Hewitt thrillers to my library.

  • How Well Do You REALLY Know the Person You Share a Bed With?

Book Cover off of Amazon Website

In My Husband’s Lies by Liz Lawler, she thought she had the perfect life. Her husband Mark was a pilot who worked away from home a lot, but when he was home, he was attentive and happy. She was a doctor. They had a precious little boy.

When she stays home from work for a plumbing emergency, her whole life changes. Police come to her door looking for her husband. When he is due to come home, he doesn’t walk in the door. He comes home hours later, because he was picked up by the police when he got off the plane (along with his entire flight crew).

A beautiful flight attendant was killed, and the evidence was pointing to Mark as her killer.

Though she trusts him, when he won’t tell her why he left the hotel, doubts start to creep in. Then, Mark is hit by a car and left for dead, and she has no idea what to think.

She invites two crew members into her home to help with her little boy, so that she can spend time at Mark’s bedside, hoping that he wakes up, but also worried that he will be arrested the moment that he does.

What is he hiding from her? Why won’t he come clean? What do the police have on him?

Another great read by Liz Lawler. I highly recommend it if you are looking for a page-turner!

  • Nora Roberts’ First Novel Is a Hit

Book Cover off of Amazon Website

When Adelia Cunnane’s parents died, their family farm went to her aunt. After tending the farm together for years, her aunt passes, leaving her nothing in Ireland. She had to sell the farm to catch up with the taxes, and she knows that there is no reason to stick around.

Lucky for her, she has an uncle Paddy who lives in America, who tells her just to come to America with him.

When she gets to the Maryland horse farm where Paddy lives and works, she can’t believe her eyes! Then, she finds herself working at the farm too. She works as a groom and an exercise rider on the back of the fast racing horses.

That being said, she has no idea what to think about her boss. Their relationship is tricky, and she doesn’t know what to expect from him.

I never realized that this was Roberts’ first book. When I heard that, I just had to read it, and I am glad that I did. Now, I will have to read the rest of the books in the series to find out what happens to Dee and her handsome boss.

  • Nicholas Sparks is Always A Pleasure

Book Cover off of Amazon Website

When looking for my next read, I decided to go back to a favorite of mine since I started reading adult novels. Nicholas Sparks’ latest book, Counting Miracles, was as good as the rest.

Tanner Hughes, raised by his grandparents in the military, followed his grandfather’s footsteps. After finishing with the Rangers, he spent years abroad, never settling down. When his grandmother dies, she spills a little secret, one about his father.

Never knowing his mother or father, he is determined to find his father. So, he sets out for Asheboro, North Carolina, to find him. In less than a day, he meets a doctor, Kaitlyn Cooper, who changes everything. Their connection is immediate, and they have to decide whether or not to start a relationship, with him leaving in a few weeks.

We also meet eighty-three-year-old Jasper, who lives alone in a cabin bordering a national forest. He spends his days with his old dog, Arlo, haunted by the tragedy that took his family. When he hears about a white deer, he is determined to save it from hunters.

When these characters find themselves linked together in a way that nobody saw coming, you will be amazed. It changes everything!

If you aren’t sure what to read next, Sparks is always a good choice. He delivers, and readers will be amazed at any book they pick up!
