Sammi Jameson is just the person for the job! She wears pants and carries guns. She knows her way around a fight and won’t back down. In fact, she just might be the next deputy in town!
The two have to learn how to work together to see if their relationship is worth working on and if they want it to work out. Another sweet romance by Bridey. A must-read!

When Joe Dwyer places an ad for a mail-order bride, he never imagines receiving a letter like the one he gets from Lacey Reagan. She is worried about her life and has no other option than to run away from her violent father. Joe gladly gives her money to come and join him in Montana.
When she gets there, she realizes their marriage will be nothing more than an arrangement. Her safety (along with some beautiful horses) will give Joe a better name throughout the town. He will no longer be seen as a playboy but as someone serious and married.
However, sparks fly between the two, and they realize that their arrangement may not be strictly business for long! Will the two find the happiness that they deserve?
Another great book in the series. I am truly enjoying every book in their series as I am devouring them quickly! A must-read!

When Jamie travels to Montana to meet Luke, she knows she has her work cut out for her. She is beautiful with emerald green eyes and auburn hair, and Luke struggles to talk to any woman, let alone one as pretty as Jamie. She also knows that getting his attention is going to be way easier than winning his heart, since Luke had his heart broken before.
This was another winner from Bridey. I can’t wait to continue this great series about mail-order brides.

Eugenia Ward has been taking care of her family and ex-husband for years, even after she left her job and started her own company. She is a big-name designer when it comes to evening and wedding gowns, but she is struggling with the economy during COVID. But, she still manages to take care of everyone and everything, including her daughter’s lavish wedding (that has gone over budget)!
For one last break before the wedding madness and fashion week, Eugenia gathers the entire family (and significant others) together for a delightful holiday. However, Gloria’s fiancé causes quite the stir, Daphne is about ready to pop with twins, and everyone is on edge.
The silver lining in it all may be meeting Patrick Hughes, a successful real estate developer who’s also going through a rough patch. When the two meet, they find that they can easily talk about life, family, and even business. They find an easy friendship that may turn into more (if either of them wants it).
But as the wedding gets closer, tensions get higher, money gets tighter, and a hurricane may just ruin it all!
A Happy Marriage is my first James Caine novel, but it definitely won’t be my last. In fact, I am already halfway through another one by him (so you will have to keep an eye out for that review).
In this novel, we meet Cathy, a wedding planner for those with plenty of money. She will do anything to ensure that her couples have the wedding of their dreams, especially since she didn’t get one herself.
Her husband is more than happy to attend these weddings, especially if networking can improve his business.
However, when they realize that their marriage isn’t as good as they hoped, everything changes. She is determined to plan the perfect wedding, even if she only has a month to do so, while her husband is busy planning the perfect alibi.
When everything went south, I had to pick my jaw up off the ground. I couldn’t believe the ending! I was sure I could figure out what would happen, and something entirely different happened. Readers will fly through this book, waiting to see what happens next!

Though Nicholas Sparks is a favorite author of mine, I haven’t been buying his books like I used to. It is not because I don’t love them. There are so many good books for free on my Kindle that I rarely buy books anymore. However, I recently got a gift certificate, and I splurged on a few books by my favorite authors, including Sparks.
The Wish by Nicholas Sparks brings us to New York City, where Maggie Dawes is a successful photographer with her own gallery. Though she has traveled the world, her illness has kept her close to home for quite a while. As she approaches her last Christmas, she bonds with her new assistant as he discovers the beauty of New York during the holiday season.
During their nights together, she begins to tell him a story of her favorite Christmas, back in 1996. Though she wasn’t happy to be sent to live with her aunt in the remote village of Ocracoke, it turned out to be the best thing for her.
There weren’t many teenagers on the island, so she really struggled until she met Bryce Trickett. Bryce was everything she wasn’t. He was smart and had his whole life planned out, while she was pretty lost and struggling. What started as tutoring turned into something better as he introduced her to photography. Then, they fell in love, but Maggie’s age and Bryce’s drive to succeed and go far kept them apart when Maggie had to return home!
If you love Nicholas Sparks (or you have never read anything of his), you really need to read The Wish. You won’t regret it!

Another great story in the series. I am sad to see it end!

In Mail Order Mister by Jennifer Branson, we meet Willa Brown, a young woman who rushes home to save her farm. She had left the farm to begin an apprenticeship as a dressmaker, but had no choice but to return after the loss of her brother, mother, and unborn sibling.
As her father struggles to get out of bed, she has to figure out how to save her farm from debt collectors. She knows that the only way to do so is by getting some money, so marriage is a possibility, but she isn’t sure that she wants to marry a stranger, just to save her family.
When Harrison Holt comes to town to help them rebuild after a devastating fire, their paths quickly pass. He wants to buy a portion of the farm for his next brickyard, while Willa has a different plan. She counters marriage, knowing that she can give him the land, and he can give her the money for the farm. Seems like a win-win if the two of them can get along!
When someone from her past comes along, it threatens to destroy the beginning of something great.
Another sweet romance in this series! You have to check it out!
