Rachel first finds out about her five-year-old sister when her mother dies. So that her sister doesn’t have to live in foster care like she did, she vows to raise her like her own, even though it means dropping out of college and getting a job.
Piper is struggling without her mother. Though she has Rachel, she is worried that one day, she won’t show up, just like her mother. She can’t lose another family member.
Then, we meet Mary, a woman who had to give up her baby without ever holding him or her. When she is unable to have any more children or adopt, she decides to do whatever she can to make life better for children.
When she meets Rachel and Piper, she sees two lost girls who need her (and a family). Will she be able to help them have a good life?
This was a good novel that I couldn’t put down. I really enjoyed learning about Mary’s story, as well as how she blessed both Rachel and Piper, who really needed her. I highly recommend this book if you are looking for a book that will leave you feeling good!
